Today everything seems to be ‘green’. Green cars, green fashion even green banks. Companies are eager to show their responsibility when it comes to climate control. And who helps them with spreading this message? Exactly, ad-agencies.
We as ad people are telling more and more of these green brand stories, but you know what the funny thing is: the way we tell them most of the time is not environmental friendly at all.
Apparently sustainable communication is about communicating a product or service that is sustainable and not the communication methods themselves.
Hallo© Lab is at the forefront of making communication itself sustainable. No surprise that they where present at the ‘Nacht van de duurzaamheid’. An event about commercial sustainability. Not only to show what they do, but more important, to let the audience experience there sustainable creativity. In a 15-minute pressure cooker a team of 6 creatives developed sustainable communication concepts on the spot. I agree, this won’t be ready to sell concepts, but it gives an insight on the possibilities and opportunities. Now let us hope those potential clients become clients and Hallo© Lab can truly show its skill and make the world, including advertising, a little bit greener.
